Winching Courses – from £295.00
Course Duration: Starting at 9.00am to 3.30pm, with up to three delegates per vehicle.
On the winching course you'll be guided and trained in the safe operation of a drum type electric or hydraulic winch mounted to a Land Rover vehicle. You will also be taught the necessary driving skills required during a winching operation.
This course includes basic winch handling skills, direct and indirect self-recovery, use of pulley blocks, third party vehicle recovery.
Full Day Trailer Handling Course – from £295.00
Our trailer handling course is designed to teach off-road trailer handling techniques using a Land Rover with a flatbed or box trailer. This course is challenging, and will take into consideration your current trailer handling skills, experience and future application. It will help you understand basic off-road driving techniques and the controls and workings of the vehicle and trailer, including maintenance checks.
We can also provide more specific information about horseboxes and caravans.

Observer Skills
Available to Fleet Operators only, (e.g. Police, Rescue Services etc). The course will teach the necessary skills to be able to supervise novice off-road drivers, maintaining safety throughout and instructing to a basic level. This course is aimed at trainers who generally work in an off-road environment and need to pass on their skills to other workers in their organisation. You'll be required to successfully complete the Level One and Level Two Experiences prior to undertaking the Observer Course.
GPS Navigation
GPS (Global Positioning System) is a valuable navigation tool when travelling off the beaten track. Learn how to use vehicle mounted and hand-held satellite navigation systems, and then put the theory to the test in an off-road navigation challenge.
Throughout the world there are multi-satelite systems in operation dedicated to providing GPS navigation for commercial, domestic and military use. Todays dedicated mapping systems provide, year on year, a greater accuracy for the user. These courses give the user an opportunity to understand some of the processes to getting from 'A to B' with ease.
Picking your way through the minefield of conflicting advice about GPS is not easy. The smart way to do this is to learn how the system works - Our course gets you started with GPS and Digital Maps with a focus on the basic use of GPS: How the GPS system works, correct GPS set up, how to create and use marks, waypoints and routes making GPS route planning easy.
